The only thing more fun than tracking celebrity listings is feasting your eyes on the homes they buy. This year saw Oprah expand her territory in Montecito, Jennifer Lopez settle into a Bel Air estate packed with natural beauty, and Michael Phelps “retire” to a mansion in Scottsdale.

Fresh off her purchase of a Colorado ski retreat with a wine mine, Oprah added this equestrian estate to her existing Montecito acreage. Called Seamair Farm, it features a home with four fireplaces, plus a pool, manager’s cottage and horse trainer’s house.

Jennifer Lopez reportedly bought this eight-acre beauty from actress Sela Ward. The 14,000-square-foot estate in Bel Air exudes elegance, with century-old heart pine floors and reclaimed wood beams. It includes a 30-seat theater, a library wrapped in cypress wood and a greenhouse off the kitchen.

This star couple listed three homes in California this year before transferring to this three-story townhouse in Brooklyn. Located in the family-friendly neighborhood of Park Slope, it combines old-fashioned luxuries like custom woodwork and etched glass windows with modern amenities, including a gourmet kitchen and a spa-like master bath.

The human fish has finally retired from the summer games, and like so many retirees, he found his new home in Scottsdale. Situated on nearly an acre, the 5-bedroom home boasts 4 fireplaces and, of course, a pool.

Seth Meyers

The “Late Night” host’s light and airy Greenwich Village duplex set him back nearly $7 million. But the two-story home boasts 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, and stunning views all around, so Meyers and his wife, Alexi Ashe, may call it home for a good while.
